摘要
Image registration is a process of spatially aligning the images by finding the corresponding points manually or automatically by minimize the registration errors. 4D medical image registration plays a vital role in Image-guided Radio therapy and Image-guided surgery. For these applications registration should be fast and efficient. Efficiency can achieved by using better optimization technique for computing the transformation parameters. Computation can be accelerated by parallel computing. This paper discuss about the various approaches under taken to optimize and to speed up computation for medical image registration.
