摘要
Peters, Waterman, and a number of popular management authors have recently offered numerous criticisms of matrix structures. This investigation empirically tests two of these critical assertions in the areas of matrix organization size and number of project assignments. The findings based on a sample of 64 high technology firms suggest that Peters' and Waterman's conclusions are incorrect.
