摘要
An ultrasonic vibration-assisted turning tool system is studied using the Taguchi robust design method. An experiment is conducted to measure surface accuracy for ultrasonic-vibration assisted turning of AISI 1045 steel, establishing the following optimal parameters: frequency of 20 kHz, voltage of 75 V, cutting speed of 150 m/min, and feed rate of 0.05 mm/rev. The differences between surface roughness with and without ultrasonic vibration-assisted turning are examined. It shown that surface roughness is lower with ultrasonic vibration-assisted machining than without.
