摘要
The presence of cracks has a major impact on the reliability of advanced materials, like fiber or particle reinforced ceramic composites, and laminated ceramics. The understanding of the failure mechanisms is very important, as much as the estimation of fracture parameters at the tip of the crack approaching an interface. This paper presents the numerical results for singularity order, asymptotic stress field and fracture parameters for a crack ending on a bi-material ceramic interface. The effect of bi-axial loading on asymptotic stress field and stress intensity factors was investigated.
