摘要
Anacardic acid is a natural active ingredient that possesses diverse biological and pharmacological activities, such as being an antioxidant and cardioprotective agent that inhibits histone acetylation. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of anacardic acid on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. The results of our studies show a significant inhibition of apoptosis and oxidative stress in H/R-treated H9C2 cells. Our results further reveal that the cardioprotective effect of anacardic acid was dependent on the inhibition of the NF-kappa B pathway. All these data taken together show anacardic acid as a potential therapeutic target in acute myocardial infarction.
