KINETICS AND ENERGETICS OF THE DISSOCIATION OF H2S MIXED WITH CO2 IN THERMAL PLASMAS

摘要
The dissociation of hydrogen sulfide mixed with carbon dioxide in quasiequilibrium thermal plasmas is studied numerically. The major channels for the reaction H2S + CO2 --> products and the mechanisms that describe them are established. The rates of cooling of the dissociation products for which the major products (H2, CO) will be conserved are determined. The range of energy inputs and the conditions for nonadiabatic cooling (quenching) under which sulfur dioxide is not formed are determined. The energy expenditure to obtain synthesis gas is determined as a function of the heating temperature for different rates of cooling.
