摘要
The temperature dependence of the rate of deprotonation of 2-ethyl-4-(4-nitrophenylazo)resorcinol monoanion in 80% (v/v) Me2SO-H2O in the presence of different concentrations of hydroxide ion has been analysed to give thermodynamic parameters for the equilibrium and kinetics of interconversion between the intramolecularly hydrogen-bonded form of the monoanion and an open non-hydrogen-bonded species.
