Revenue Management has seen significant advances in the airline industry over the past three decades. While the value airlines derive from the revenue management process is significant and a key tenet for airline profitability, over the past decade revenue management has played a larger role and been a key influencer in decision making across airline planning, operations and interactive marketing. This article highlights how revenue management concepts and recommendations influence decision making across the various airline business processes. © 2015 Macmillan Publishers Ltd.
