摘要
Progress in the worldwide study of Grimmia has led to a decrease in the number of accepted taxa in the genus. After type examination, the following taxa are newly reduced to the synonymy of the species in parentheses: Grimmia orbicularis var, persica and G. moxleyi (= G. orbicularis); G. brevirostris (= G. hamulosa); G. brittoniae (= G. funalis); and G. hermanii (= G. muehlenbeckii). A lectotype is designated for Grimmia hamulosa.
