Low Profile Dual-Broadband 2G/3G/LTE Array Antenna for Vehicular Application

摘要
A dual-broadband 26/3G/LTE (4G) array antenna is proposed in the paper. The prototype of the antenna is composed of a lower-band (dipole) and an upper-band radiation unit (a pair of two folded dipole). Four lower-bands and six upper-band units are interleaved to array on H-plane for roof mounting on car top, depending on the gain and coverage tradeoffs. In terms of the criterion of S-11 less than -10dB, the array antenna can achieve a band from 810MHz to 1000MHz with an average gain by 10.26dBi at the specified lower-band; however at the upper-band, the array can achieve a band from 1640MHz to 3000MHz with an average gain by 15.52dBi. As for the patterns, six array elements deployed in circle line topology can realize all round (360 degrees) coverage at least on the plane of horizon.
