摘要
The effect of various water quenching temperature and duration time of precipitation hardened Al-7Si-0.65Mg cast alloy is investigated by differential scanning calorimeter, electrical onductivity, hardness and tensile properties measurements. The results shows a positive response to 95 degrees C water quenched from solid solution treatment. The largest hardened rate can be obtained at 95 degrees C water-quenching for 60 minutes duration time in natural aging. The tensile strength and hardness following 95 degrees C quenched is found to be higher than that 25 degrees C and 60 degrees C water quenched in the shorter artificial aging time. High temperature water-quenching parameters available to high temperature(>180 degrees C) artificial aging treatment with the shorter aging time.
