摘要
Effects of interstitial elements C and N as well as substitutional elements Mn and Mo on the Ms and Md30 temperatures in high purity 18mass%Cr-10mass%Ni metastable austenitic stainless steels were studied by means of magnetic measurement, and modified coefficients for these elements for calculating the Ms and Md30 temperatures were proposed. It is suggested that the constants in the modified equations should be increased by about 20 degrees C for high purity austenitic stainless steels. This may be mainly caused by the decrease in impurity elements such as O, S, P etc. which are not included in the equations.
