摘要
This paper describes Simulink model which provides engine protection & speed governing features of diesel engine generator. Engine protection system continuously monitor the parameters of oil pressure sensor, coolant temperature sensor, speed sensor & set the fault condition as 'Out of Range High' and 'Out of Range Low', when parameters are not in appropriate ranges. In order to keep constant engine speed under variable loads, self-tuned fuzzy PID controller is used for speed governing system. This controller uses 49 fuzzy rules to tune the PID coefficients (Kp, Kd, Ki) which are used to control the amount of fuel. Fuzzy PID controller handles uncertainties of engine & produce a better control performance.
