摘要
In this work, a novel lever analog method was introduced to analyze the kinematical and dynamical characters of the planet transmission system shifting process. The proposed approach is capable of analyzing many typical automatic transmission geartrains containing a number of simple, compound or complex-compound planetary gearsets. Simpson and Ravigneaux gear train are investigated as two typical structures of the planet transmission. The proposed method could also be applied to study a planetary transmission system. The result showed that the proposed method can reflect the character of the planet gear train in the shifting process significantly.
