摘要
Densities and viscosities of the binary mixtures of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) with 1-butanol, 2-methyl-1-propanol, 2-butanol and 2-methyl-2-propanol were measured at 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15 K over the entire composition range. The composition-dependence of densities and viscosities was checked by using an empirical relation. The experimental data were used to calculate excess molar volumes (V-E) and deviations in viscosity (Delta eta). These results were fitted to Redlich-Kister polynomial equation. The density and viscosity data have been analyzed in terms of some semiempirical viscosity models and the results have been discussed in terms of molecular interactions and structural effects. The excess properties were found to be either negative or positive depending on the molecular interactions and the nature of liquid mixtures.
