摘要
The enhancing of the energy efficiency of the distribution AC systems under operating conditions within the framework of a FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission System). The concept is based on the using various types of power electronic controllers. In case of medium voltage applications most of the FACTS controllers are implemented on the multilevel inverter topologies. The report presents the control design procedure of capacitor voltage balancing for cascaded H-bridge multilevel converter. The proposed control technique allows to realize an initial charge of the power cell capacitor banks with desired transient performances, and maintains the average value of the DC-link voltage at a reference with a zero steady-state error.
