摘要
The internal combustion engine was the choice among the three candidate propulsion systems which include the steam and electric. The internal combustion engine was the chosen one as it had the electric starter as well as with the fact that the driver does not need to crank the engine anymore. Then came a time when an R&D worked on an electric drive conversion and was a successful one as it had a silver-zinc batteries that could only provide the needed performance. However, when the prices of oil started to increase, various types of hybrid vehicles were introduced by every car manufacturer. The different types of hybrid vehicles are parallel hybrids, split hybrids, and the series hybrids.
