摘要
This Paper introduces a Model Based Predictive Controller to control simultaneous boost pressure and EGR-rate at a diesel engine [5]. In the course of the project "ATECS" (Advanced Truck Engine Control System), founded by the European Community, a non-linear simulation model of truck diesel engine in Matlab/Simulink((R)) was developed by the Institute of Automatic Control (IRT) of the RWTH Aachen in cooperation with the Institute of Combustion Engines (VKA) of the RWTH Aachen [3], [7]. The control strategy is to be designed and tested in the simulation and is implemented in cooperation with VKA and FEV on a 6 Liter Heavy Duty Diesel Engine [9]. The benefit of the control with regard to transient emissions was shown within the relevant test cycles.
