摘要
The AEROCHEM studies of global aviation impacts on the atmosphere utilized 3D inventories of aviation fuel and NO, for present-day conditions, 2015 and 2050. The construction of these datasets is described and the main features of the data discussed. For 1991/92 and 2015 the differences between the available datasets are small and can be used with equal confidence. The weaknesses of these datasets are discussed and it is shown that a new inventory for present-day conditions is required because of the rapid growth of the aviation sector over the past ten years and the need to perform more sophisticated impact assessment studies. A preliminary analysis of real traffic movements and emissions and those derived from idealized inventories show significant differences. Such differences may affect climate impact assessments of aircraft emissions.
