摘要
Mercaptoalkyl derivatives of 5,5-diphenyl- and 5-arylidene hydantoins were synthesized as the result of hydrolytic cleavage of bicyclic imidazothiazoles,-thiazines, and -thiazepines. The title compounds were evaluated as potential antioxidants and free radical scavengers using the enzymic generation of O-2- and non-enzymic lipid peroxidation tests. Examined compounds were inactive in both applied tests, where reference substances (flavonoids, nitric oxide donors and Ticlopidine) inhibited non-enzymic lipid peroxidation and scavenged superoxide anions.
