摘要
In this paper, the simulation induced voltages along the buried pipeline due to normal operating condition as well as symmetric and un-symmetric fault conditions of the power transmission lines are calculated. By using the ATP program and MATLAB software, to simulate the power line-pipeline system under all fault conditions, the simulation results of induced voltages are obtained then compared with the actual measurement values. Moreover, the influence of fault locations, either in the first quarter or in the middle place of the power line, on the pipeline induced voltages is studied. Furthermore, the variation of soil resistivity on the pipeline induced voltages under normal and fault conditions is analyzed. It is found that El-Kurimate power line is the most effective power line on the pipeline at normal operating condition. Also, it is seen that a good agreement between the experimental and simulation results of induced voltages, under normal condition, is achieved. Moreover, the simulation results show that the most serious type of abnormal conditions on the pipeline itself and its coating is the single line to ground fault when it occurs at the first quarter of the transmission line. Finally, it is concluded that soil resistivity variation has a great effect on the pipeline induced voltage under fault conditions.
