摘要
Brazing is the metal joining processes of melting a filler metal into the joint, the filler metal having a lower melting point than the adjoining metal. The oxyacetylene brazing processes are executed with 18 brass plates, where each pair of same plates is joined together as butt joint. The copper flux powder is used, in order to control the oxidation during brazing processes. Brazed brass 319 joints are tested for the tensile and impact strength observation. The objective of this work is to optimize the process parameters involved in brazing processes using Taguchi optimization with L9 orthogonal array, signal to noise ratio and analysis of variance. The optimization processes are executed using MATLAB software. The obtained results will be helpful to the brazing industries to join the brass plates. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
