As coal supplies are depleted, coke plants rely more on petrographically nonuniform coal from Eastern Ukraine with high ash content. In this context, the possibility of improving coking batch by additional mixing and compaction of the components is of interest. In the present work, experiments are conducted on the preparation of coking batch using an improved system based on a preliminary vibrational compactor and system consisting of a rotary mixer and conveyer belt, with simultaneous vibrational action on the coal batch.
