摘要
A gauge of the excitation and detection block for the field equipment of energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence analysis with an X-ray tube is described. The gauge design allows for the compact arrangement of the basic units of the excitation and detection block, and its high luminosity allows the use of low-power X-ray sources (up to 1-1.5 W). A secondary source (target) is used for reducing the primary bremsstrahlung background. The experimental results show that the analytical feasibilities of the proposed gauge are no worse than those of gauges with radioisotopes conventionally employed for X-ray fluorescence analysis. The surface sensitivity of the gauge is investigated.
