摘要
There is a growing momentum and expectation that smart home applications will become a major market success. Therefore, many consumer electronics industry organizations are manufacturing smart devices for networked smart home applications. However, the current market opportunity is leading to many devices from different manufacturers lacking interoperability due to the multitude of communication standards and proprietary protocols in use. This situation has resulted in significant interoperability issues for home automation systems, and is leading to operational silos for each of the individual products. In order to take smart home networking to the next level, an interoperability framework is required that eliminates these silos. This article presents an interoperability framework with a selected characteristics.
