摘要
Home automation is a good step forward in technological advancement. It allows us to control lighting, security, temperature, alarms, and appliances. Home automation started with washing machines, refrigerators, water heaters, and dishwashers. Now, with the addition of the concept of Internet of Things (IoT), the number of appliances that can be automated and controlled has expanded. This study developed three modules that lets the homeowner monitor readings remotely through their mobile device. The modules included in the developed systems are: dust monitoring, house lighting activation and gas sensors. The modules contain a microcontroller and a sensor that records data and sends it through the Internet, and eventually generates report. The mobile application then interprets that data and displays readable report that homeowner can use for future decision-making.
