摘要
New tetralone acid intermediates 3-carboxy-4-(p-tolyl)-6,7-dimethoxy-1-tetralone, 3-carboxy-4-(P-tolyl)-6-methyl-7-methoxy-1-tetralone and 3-carboxy-4-(p-tolyl)-6-chloro-7-methoxy-1-tetralone were synthesized in high yields by Gensler's route with some change in reagents. They are very essential for the synthesis and study of antimitotic activity of beta-apopicropodophyllin analogues. All the products were characterized by spectral and elemental analysis data.
