摘要
Strength and conditioning professionals should be cognizant of the nutrient needs of their athletes. The larger individual should supplement with protein (and calories) just to meet his or her daily nutrient requirements. It is suggested that supplementation with protein bars (or with beverages or powders) is a feasible method of receiving dietary energy and the essential amino acids needed to promote skeletal muscle growth and recovery.
