摘要
A BODIPY-based turn-on fluorescent probe 1 has been designed and synthesized for fluorescence detection of Cu2+ in aqueous media and imaging in living cells. The C=N bonds are selectively hydrolyzed by the reaction with Cu2+ to generate formyl-BODIPY. The favorable features of probe 1 towards Cu2+ include significant fluorescence enhancement (over 290-fold), high selectivity and low detection limit (0.1 mu M).
