摘要
Due to lower birth rates, higher life expectancy and a rising retirement age the topic of successful aging at work has become a popular research theme. In this short version of my inaugural lecture, the importance of using a positive life-course psychological perspective on the relations between self-management and successful aging at work is emphasized. More specifically, the following topics are discussed: (1) definitions and theories concerning self-management and successful aging at work, (2) various self-management resources that can be used by workers during the life course to maintain a person-work fit, (3) evidence-based work and organizational interventions to facilitate successful aging at work, and finally, (4) a research agenda for future (applied) research on successful aging at work.
