摘要
In edge cutting process of the rough laminated wood, it needs adjusting the position of the rough laminated wood manually, and it is easy to damage its upper surface. To solve these problems, an edge detection algorithm based on machine vision is designed and applying to the rough laminated wood edge cutting process. Firstly, an edge detection process configuration is designed for the edge cutting processing. Secondly, the Canny operator is used to detect the edges, and the pattern recognition method is applied to distinguish the edge defect of the rough laminated wood. Lastly, the pixels-wise width of the edge is calculating and the motor is driven to adjust the central of the laminated wood. Experimental results indicated that edge detection based on machine vision performs well to measure and adjust the position deviation of the rough laminated wood.
