摘要
Our previous study showed that Artemisia annua L. extract (AAE) exerted antioxidative effect in a mouse model. Therefore, we hypothesized that AAE could also protect against oxidative stress-induced cognitive impairment, such as memory loss. Oral feeding of an AAE-containing diet resulted in weak yet significant protection from galactose-induced memory impairment and hippocampal damage in mice. The AAE-induced amelioration was likely associated with the ability of AAE to induce antioxidant enzymes.
