摘要
In the context of globalization, mentioning contemporary democracy, science, social-economic, sanita ry, and environmental crises is recurrent. In Brazil, these crises worsen due to historical-cultural structures that carry deep unresolved problems and to governments that have worn down the national institutions that were reconstructed with hard work during the re-democratization process of the country. In this editorial, we reflect on the national crisis context experienced in Brazil in the last years, situating social regressions resulting from neoliberal and conservative policies carried out by the last two heads of the federal government and placing some challenges to be faced by the country, from a movement of recovering the democracy.
