Application of AI in Automatic Feedback and Rubrics for improving oral presentations in English as Foreign Language Learners

摘要
This study explores the results of combining automatic feedback and rubrics in developing oral presentation skills in undergraduate students of English as a Foreign language. The study employed a mixed methods approach to analyze surveys and student scores through descriptive statistics and the sought themes. Two cohorts of 70 English as a Foreign Language learners enrolled in a public university in South America participated in this study. The findings of this study suggest the acceptance of the application of this developed Artificial Intelligence tool complemented with rubrics and its influence in reducing anxiety by increasing confidence in the use of a foreign language.
