摘要
The finite element method is art established numerical technique which now enjoys a widespread use in solid and structural mechanics. The main attributes are its fairly wide flexibility in handling very complex geometrics, its rich mathematical structure in developing efficient and accurate elements and its advantages of having to satisfy only the essential boundary conditions. It is effective, especially in the case where the domain is not regular.
