摘要
A general alpha particle detection theory has been derived for nuclear track detectors with the upper energy detection threshold under the primary alpha particle energy of radionuclides in the thick source. The alpha particle detection theory was formulated by the use of detection sensitivity defined through the energy dependent critical angle of detection. That alpha particle detection sensitivity was then used in integration of the energy/angle spectrum of the thick source surface alpha particle activity. Resulting detector response does not depend on the thick source primary alpha particle energies. The only source parameter which must be known is its proton number.
