摘要
In addition to the nominal current and voltage, one of the most important factors in the dimensioning and selection of equipment for a switching station in an electric power plant is the short circuit current which occurs during a fault. The equipment and structures must be of sufficient strength to withstand, both thermally and mechanically, the short circuit current present in the network, throughout its period of influence. The mechanical performance of a wire-form busbar under short circuit conditions is examined, and a general computer programme suitable for the analysis of wire vibration is presented, together with an example.
