A method of determination of the actual law of distribution of specific pressure upon the contact area of annular protrussions and the coefficient of tightening depending on the value of the opening of the contact surface, taking account of the permissible stress in the joint elements, is presented. It is found that the maximum value of specific pressure takes place at the outer edge of the annular protrusion. In practical calculations its effect may be represented by an equivalent force distributed around the circumference r equals 0. 8R.
