Bleached paperboard, also known as solid bleached sulfate (SBS) board, is a premium paperboard grade produced from a furnish containing at least 80% virgin-bleached woodpulp. For 2002, producers of SBS pushed through a $40/ton to $50/ton price increase. Analysts expect markets for SBS to remain highly competitive during the next several years.
