Location-based production ramp-up in networks

Increased ramp-up efficiency through location analysis in global value added networks. Many small and medium-sized enterprises need efficient production ramp-up management to increase their global competitiveness. This paper presents an approach that uses a site analysis and a planning and control model to efficiently start production at multiple sites. For this purpose, the given framework conditions of a production rampup at globally distributed locations are analyzed and assigned to a reference process by means of a methodology in order to ensure adaptation to changing global influencing factors, such as factor costs or market developments. © Carl Hanser Verlag GmbH amp; Co.
