摘要：
The importance of mold temperature on surface quality of glass products is evaluated with particular emphasis on the dipping plunger. The usual method of cooling plungers with fan air or sometimes also with compressed air has some important disadvantages: very high energy cost, loud noise from the cooling nozzles, permanent installation of the nozzles, inability to control the machine and manual control of the degree of cooling. A new means of controlling heat removal from the plunger has been developed and is fully automatic, which makes it particularly suitable for use in the glass factory.
