China Steel Corporation has within the last decade built an integrated steel plant which has turned in excellent commercial results. This has been in a country which previously had an outdated and unsophisticated scrap based steel industry. A current expansion program will increase liquid steel capacity from 3. 25 Mt to 5. 65 Mt/year.
