摘要：

A new technique is described that can be used to produce high-speed steels without microsegregations in bars having a diameter as small as 350 mm and minimum length of 3 m. The high-speed steels produced by this technique offer greater toughness, better dimensional stability during hardening, and are less susceptible to overheating.
