摘要
A recently developed solid-state electrolytic sensor is described that offers improved reliability and reduced maintenance costs in gas monitoring and detection. Detection of toxic or explosive gases is accomplished by embedding two electrodes in the solid-state sensor cell and applying voltage between the electrodes. In the presence of explosive or toxic gases, the gas molecules are transformed within the sensor cell and the electrical current flows between the electrodes. The sensor will find applications in oil and gas fields, on oil and gas offshore platforms, in pipeline compressor stations and other segments of the oil and gas industry.
