Stability of face bearings and seals with helical grooves operated with gas lubrication

摘要：
The stability of bearings has been analyzed theoretically with the use of conjugated equations method. Dependences of boundary mass and frequency on the compression number have been presented for different values of groove parameters. Practical examples of bearing and seals have been considered. Practical recommendations have been given on the parameters choice expanded stability region.
