Research on structures of high-density laminate porous plates

Numerical simulation is carried out by CFD software to study six kinds of high-density porous lamilloy configurations. Arrays of impinging holes, pin-fins and film holes were studied to obtain cooling coefficient, lamilloy flow characteristic and pressure loss coefficient. The results show that the total pressure loss is about 4.5% for different arrangements with a 2.2% pressure-loss through impinging and film wall. Lamilloy equivalent flow coefficients of different configurations are always about 0.86. Maximum difference of cooling efficiency of lamilloy different configurations is up to 10%. Along flow direction, the film wall temperature rate decreases from 21 K/mm to 15 K/mm. By comprehensive comparision, 'shuttle' shape is better than others with the highest cooling efficiency. ©, 2014, Editorial Department of Journal of Propulsion Technology. All right reserved.
