摘要
Bolted as well as compressed current-carrying connections are used in overhead contact line installations. While compressed connections are aging to a low extent only, aging can change the characteristics of bolted connections significantly. The tightening force of bolts, the connection resistance, the Joule's heat and the surface conditions of the connected conductors establish the most important impact parameters. When replacing bolted clamps in existing installations the connecting conductors should be replaced as well. Heat cycle tests according to DIN EN 61284 are suited to assess the correct design of feeder clamps but not to forecast their long-term aging behaviour.
