Vergleichende Analyse von 100 alttürkischen Buddhanamen unter Berücksichtigung der semantischen und übersetzungsmethodischen Besonderheiten

: The names of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas play an important role in Buddhism and have been translated into many different languages. The purpose of this study is to compare 100 names of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and other saints in Chinese, Tibetan, Sanskrit, and Old Turkic. We have selected only names that contain metaphors or that are formed with certain terms in metaphor such as "fragrance," "flower," etc. (about 25 terms) in order to bring out the analogies and differences among the Buddha names and to deal with their various semantic, semiotic, and translation methodological features.
