摘要
A production-frame knowledge representation language of the PILOT type is discussed. The fundamental design principles of this language are described together with the syntax and semantics of the primary PILOT knowledge representation language constructs, and sample applications of these constructs are given. In terms of its properties the PILOT knowledge representation language is similar to the popular OPS5 production programming language, although it has a more powerful capacity to describe situations analyzed during operation, and also can directly access programs and functions . written in C from production rules.
