摘要
Pyrolysis gasoline from Novacor's petrochemical plant in Corunna was hydrogenated in a fixed bed reactor at our research centre. This paper presents results from the evaluation of four different catalysts in order to identify which catalyst(s) would meet the required pyrolysis gasoline specifications. Catalysts A and B performed better than catalysts C and D, with Catalyst B showing higher initial catalyst activity than A. This paper relays the hydrogenation reaction kinetics for the best two highly selective catalysts including the pertinent kinetic parameters. This makes it possible to estimate the concentration of dienes or styrene in the product stream when their concentration in the feedstream is known.
